Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms set out the basic matters, including the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Service and its users, as well as the conditions and procedures for use, in relation to your use of the Service.

2. Definitions

The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows:

1. “Service” means the image translation, image-to-text extraction, and all related supplementary features provided by the Company.
2. “User” means any member or non-member who uses the Service in accordance with these Terms.
3. “Member” means a person who signs up and uses the Service through a Google account.
4. “Content” means any images, documents, text, or other materials that a user uploads to use the Service.

3. Posting and Amendment of Terms

1. The Company posts the contents of these Terms on the Service screen so that users can easily review them.
2. The Company may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable law. In the event of an amendment, the Company will announce the amended contents and the effective date on the Service screen before the effective date.
3. If a user continues to use the Service after the effective date of the amended Terms, the user is deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms. A user who does not agree to the amended Terms may discontinue use and request to close their account.

4. Provision and Change of the Service

1. The Company provides the following services:
   • Image Translator
   • Image to Text
   • Other supplementary services as determined by the Company
2. The Company may change or discontinue all or part of the Service as needed for operational or technical reasons, in which case it will provide prior notice. However, where there are unavoidable circumstances, notice may be given afterward.
3. The Service is, in principle, provided year-round without interruption, but it may be temporarily suspended due to system maintenance, failures, force majeure, or similar causes.

5. Use of the Service

1. Users must access and use the Service only through the interface and instructions provided by the Company.
2. Users must not access or use the Service through automated means such as scripts or web crawlers.
3. The Company may set conditions of use, such as free usage limits, to ensure the smooth provision of the Service.

6. Account Registration and Management

1. Users may sign up as members through a Google account. The Service supports Google account login only.
2. Users must provide accurate information and, if there is any change to such information, must update it without delay.
3. Users are responsible for managing their own account and may not transfer or share it with any third party.
4. If unauthorized use of an account is confirmed or suspected, the Company may restrict the use of that account.
5. Users under the age of 14 may not sign up for or use the Service. If the Company determines that a member does not meet this requirement, it may restrict or terminate that member’s account without prior notice.

7. Obligations of Users

Users must not engage in any of the following acts:

1. Misappropriating another person’s information or registering false information
2. Accessing the Service through automated means or causing an excessive load on the Service
3. Interfering with the normal operation of the Service
4. Uploading content that infringes the intellectual property rights, portrait rights, or other rights of the Company or any third party
5. Uploading content or using the Service in violation of law or public order and morals
6. Any other act in violation of applicable law

8. Content and Intellectual Property

1. The rights to and responsibility for content uploaded by a user rest with that user. Users represent and warrant that they hold the lawful right to upload and use such content.
2. The Company uses uploaded content only to the extent necessary to provide the Service (translation and text-extraction processing), and deletes it after processing is complete in accordance with the applicable Privacy Policy.
3. Intellectual property rights in the Service itself, including its software, design, logos, and trademarks, belong to the Company or the rightful owner. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or use them without the Company’s prior written consent.

9. Restriction of Use

If a user violates these Terms or applicable law, the Company may restrict the user’s use of the Service or suspend or delete the account without prior notice.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

1. The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the Service or its outputs (such as translated or extracted text), and users use the Service at their own discretion and responsibility.
2. The Company is not liable for any damage caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, such as force majeure, system failures, communication interruptions, or unlawful acts by third parties, except where such damage is caused by the Company’s willful misconduct or gross negligence.
3. The Company is not responsible for any loss, alteration, or corruption of content uploaded by users, except where caused by the Company’s willful misconduct or gross negligence. Users should separately keep the originals of important materials.
4. The Company does not guarantee that the Service will be provided free of errors or interruptions, or that its servers will be entirely free of viruses and other harmful components. Any costs to repair or replace a user’s equipment or data resulting from use of the Service are borne by the user, except where such damage is caused by the Company’s willful misconduct or gross negligence.
5. Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these Terms limits or excludes the Company’s liability for damages caused by the Company’s willful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Third-Party Content and Advertising

1. The Service may display third-party content and links to third-party websites, including advertisements.
2. The Company may use third-party services such as Google AdSense and Coupang Partners as part of serving advertisements.
3. Responsibility for third-party content and linked sites rests with the entity providing it. The Company does not endorse such content and is not liable for any damage arising from it. Users access it at their own discretion and responsibility.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid under applicable law, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected and shall remain in full force and effect. Furthermore, the Company’s failure to immediately exercise a right under any provision shall not be deemed a waiver of that right.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

1. These Terms and any dispute relating to use of the Service shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
2. In the event of a dispute between the Company and a user in connection with use of the Service, both parties shall consult in good faith to reach an amicable resolution.
3. If no resolution is reached, the competent court shall be the court determined under the Civil Procedure Act.
